Here at Lakeside we call our high school ministry Thrive. Why Thrive you ask? Because we believe that high school should be a time where faith and connection to Christ begin to do just that. As students mature, their faith is defined and challenged by so many different influences: parents, pastors, youth leaders, friends, and the world all speak into what they believe. Thrive is place where they can explore exactly who they belong to and begin to form the lasting faith they will need as they graduate to what God is calling them to do for the rest of their lives.

On the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month we meet large group style along with The Bridge, our middle school group.  We worship, hear from God’s word and discuss what God is doing in our lives both in the large group and in small groups. We eat dinner, play some games, build relationships though hanging out, and pray together to strengthen our connection to God. On the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month just Thrive meets and either works on a separate bible study or develops student leadership.

In 2015 we intend to work hard on mentoring, discipleship, and being a more active and impactful part of the church culture at Lakeside. God is and will use these students to impact their community and we want to help them do it.
