Our Name

How did you get your name? Most people have no choice – it was given them by their parents and the name had little bearing on who they became.

Judging by our church name, you may be surprised to learn we are not located on a lake. Our name was given by one of the children in a naming contest and designates the place we were born – on the shores of Lake Campau. When we outgrew the crib shown in this picture, we moved to our present location in 1983 but retained our name.
